On July 9, 2014, the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act (CISA) passed the Senate Intelligence Committee in a 12-3 vote. The legislation encourages threat information sharing between government and the private sector. Regardless of whether you're a proponent of the legislation, the importance of gathering and applying continuous and comprehensive threat intelligence to inform our cyber defenses is irrefutable. Cyber criminals and enemies of the state are innovating at an accelerating pace and continuously shifting tactics in their execution of advanced attacks to breach our defenses. A steady stream of threat intelligence context is imperative to optimize our overall security intelligence and to reduce mean-time-to-detect (MTTD) and mean-time-to-respond (MTTR) to cyber adversaries.
In this webinar, Sameer Bhalotra Ph.D., former Senior Director for Cybersecurity at the White House, will discuss:
- Current and evolving cyber threat vectors and their potential impact on critical infrastructure and commercial systems
- CISA considerations for commercial and government entities
Dr. Bhalotra will be joined by Chris Petersen, cyber security industry thought leader and CTO/Co-founder of LogRhythm. Mr. Petersen will discuss the latest advancements in security intelligence and how combining global threat intelligence feeds and advanced security analytics can accelerate the detection of, and response to today's increasingly sophisticated cyber attacks.
