A stunning 64 per cent of IT professionals and office workers are willing to give away their critical passwords in exchange for a bar of chocolate and a smile, according to a survey.

Researchers asked if people knew what the most common password is and then asked them what their password was. Only 22 per cent of IT professionals fell for this, compared to 40 per cent of commuters. Guessing potential passwords and asking for confirmation netted a further 42 per cent of IT professionals and 22 per cent of commuters, according to the annual survey for Infosecurity Europe.
