The announcement in February 2014 by the White House of a Framework for the development of cybersecurity standards follows the announcement one year earlier by the White House of a Presidential Executive Order describing the Government's overall policy toward the cybersecurity on our nation's critical infrastructure. The Framework provides an opportunity for the owners and operators of this critical infrastructure to work with the public sector in defining the standards that will be apply to improving our cybersecurity. Much work remains to be done, however. How will this process work? How can owners and operators become involved in this process? will standards be mandatory, voluntary? Will incentives exist? What happens if an owner and operator decides not apply these standards? How can these standards evolve to keep pace with changes in the technology of our critical infrastructures and the cyber threats that may jeopardize them? This webinar, hosted by Sam Visner, CSC's Vice President and General Manager of Cybersecurity, will explore these topics, and other points of interest to those charged with and worried about the cybersecurity of vital industries and infrastructures. Sam is the former Chief of Signals Intelligence Programs of the National SEcurity Agency, and manages CSC's global cybersecurity business across the commercial and public sectors.
