In a survey CyberRisk Alliance conducted among InfraGard’s membership, respondents in the chemical sector cited many headwinds to effective security, including the challenges they face keeping up with technological change. “Some of the systems we have implemented are very new to everyone. So, we are learning as we go,” said one respondent. Another agreed, citing the challenges of adding new technologies “We need a bigger team, and for a few in IT, they need additional training.”In this report, we will more closely analyze respondent capability to identify and protect, detect and respond, and recover from malware and ransomware attacks.
