RSA announced earlier today that it has named Zulfikar Ramzan as the company's chief technology officer (CTO).
He will lead development of the company's technology strategy and focus on bringing new security products to market, according to a press release. Ramzan previously served as the chief scientist at both Sourcefire and Immunet.
Most recently, he was the CTO of Elastica, where he used machine learning technologies and natural language processing to enable customers to more securely access and use cloud services.
“Zulfikar's depth of cybersecurity industry experience is a great addition to RSA, and we're thrilled to have him on board as we drive the industry forward to better address emergent cyber threats,” said Amit Yoran, president, RSA, in the release.
Ramzan has also worked as the technical director of Symantec's Security and Response division.
