Google launches security dashboard and wizard

Google launched a ‘Devices and Activity' dashboard on Monday with the goal of providing Google Apps users with “additional insight over the devices accessing their Google account,” according to a company blog post.

Users' dashboards will list devices that have been active on their accounts in the last 28 days or are currently signed in. If any seem out of place, there's an option to take steps to secure the account and change a password.

The company also launched a "security wizard" for Google for Work accounts listing steps users can take to turn on or alter security features, including providing contact information for account recovery and reviewing recent activity and permissions.

Eran Feigenbaum, director of security, Google for Work, wrote in the post that users and Google can “work together to stay a step ahead of any bad guys.”
