Atmos SASE platform by Axis Security launches

Axis Security announced the launch of its new modern Security Service Edge platform, Axis Atmos, presented as an upgrade from existing hub-and-spoke network architectures, according to SiliconANGLE. According to the company, the new Atmos platform's superiority over existing platforms, which are built on data center-based architectures, comes from usage of an identity-based security system, allowing information technology teams to avoid getting users to connect to typically-vulnerably corporate networks. The Axis Atmos platform implements the four key elements of Security Service Edge: zero-trust network access, a cloud access security broker, a secure web gateway and a digital experience monitoring platform. However, it also introduces a number of industry-first features such as the Atmos Insights module, which allows IT teams to perform query-based insights into environment health and security alerts on all applications, as well as Atmos Air and Atmos Private Inspect, which are based on the company's agentless Axis Application Access Cloud model that allows users to securely connect to private applications using any device.
