Cloudflare expands zero-trust to generative AI

Cloudflare has announced a new offering, Cloudflare One for AI, which the company says contains its suite of zero-trust security controls for use in protecting data while using generative AI tools, reports VentureBeat. According to the company, the solution aims to give enterprises a way to integrate generative AI technology safely and securely into their operations without compromising sensitive intellectual property or customer data. In addition, it allows organizations to audit and review the AI tools their team members have started using, saidSam Rhea, vice president of product at Cloudflare. Security teams can then restrict usage only to approved tools and, within those that are approved, control and gate how data is shared with those tools using policies built around [their organizations] sensitive and unique data. Cloudflare said it next plans to upgrade its cloud access security broker to let enterprises scan the AI tools they are using for potential misuse and misconfigurations.
