ICSA grants security certification to Aruba SD-WAN

The ICSA has awarded its first-ever ICSA Labs Secure SD-WAN Certification to the Aruba EdgeConnect Enterprise SD-WAN platform by Hewlett Packard Enterprise, SDxCentral reports. Obtaining the certification signifies that the network-connected product has cleared third-party testing and certification which gauges its compliance, performance and reliability. The platform came with Arubas acquisition of Silver Peak and features IDS/IPS, next-generation firewall and distributed-denial-of-service detection and remediation. It also provides identity- and role-based access control and dynamic segmentation when used together with Arubas ClearPass or similar software, allowing users to bring more applications to the cloud and complementing users existing zero trust and secure access service edge architecture. ArubaSenior Director of SD-WANDerek Granath says the Secure SD-WAN certification is broader than the Corporate Firewall Certification, which is also offered by the ICSA, as it encompasses SD-WAN capabilities that are not covered by the firewall certification, such as the ability to perform a fast failover and support and virtualize multiple transports.
