Lacework introduces cloud identity features

Lacework said it is adding new cloud identity and entitlement management functions to its CIEM platform, which the cloud security firm says will help organizations elevate their ability to observe cloud identities and detect potential identity threats. according to SiliconANGLE. The new features provide administrators with a snapshot of all privileges that are available to specific identities and weighs each for their risk potential. The Lacework CIEM platform is capable of dynamically identifying all cloud user identities, roles, permissions, and groups, and provides a risk score for each. The platform can then furnish recommendations for adjusting permissions, for instance when an identity is found to have excessive privileges. They also constantly ensure compliance with identity and access management security and regulatory rules. Lacework customers can address both sides of the identity security issue with a single platform that prevents identity risk exposure and detects identity threats at scale, with the context to quickly investigate, prioritize and respond to identity alerts, said Lacework Vice President of product Adam Leftik.
