Orca Security, Google Cloud strengthen cloud security partnership

VentureBeat reports that Orca Security and Google Cloud have entered into a partnership integrating Orca's Cloud Security platform with Google's Security Command Center, Chronicle, and VirusTotal in a bid to better protect cloud workloads and data from cyberattacks. Such integration with Security Command Center and Chronicle would enable cloud security telemetry transmission to endpoint solutions, while VirusTotal would have improved malware detection and analysis capabilities with Orca's platform, according to Orca Security. Orca Security Chief Information Officer Avi Shua also touted the ability of its Cloud Security Platform to consolidate organizational cloud telemetry in a single location. "From this deeper partnership, security leaders can ensure that their teams are always solving the issues that matter most. By integrating security across the application lifecycle, organizations can unify development, DevOps, and security teams to deploy the most secure software possible and improve the security of their cloud-native applications," said Orca Security CEO Gil Geron.
