Wiz unveils new VMware vSphere integration for improved virtual machine protections

Cloud security platform Wiz has introduced new VMware vSphere integration in an effort to bolster enterprise visibility over virtual machines and security flaws, VentureBeat reports. Aside from enabling increased transparency over virtual machine vulnerabilities, the introduction of VMware vSphere integration has prompted Wiz to be the first agentless cloud security system with on-premises and cloud environment protections. Such integration would also help enterprises better deal with the complexities of maintaining on-premises and hybrid cloud applications and infrastructure amid the ongoing cloud skills gap. "These architectural decisions have led to security teams needing multiple siloed tools, processes, and organization structures to protect these environments. This is costly and complex for businesses to maintain and leaves them without a holistic visibility or security across their organization," said Wiz co-founder and Vice President of Product Yinon Costica. Costica added that Wiz improves discovery of critical security risks through the use of the Wiz Security Graph that associates major risk factors.
