Firefox 3.0 security patch

Mozilla on Wednesday updated a previous release of Firefox (3.0) to address six security issues, five of which it identified as “critical,” including one that could be used to crash the browser and run arbitrary code. Mozilla has said that all users are encouraged to upgrade to Firefox 3.5, but this update was part of its commitment to maintain the 3.0 version until January 2010, according to a post on the Mozilla Developer Center. — CAM
