CVS investigating possible payment card breach, shuts down photo website

CVS has shut down its website as it investigates a potential payment card breach.

“We have been made aware that customer credit card information collected by the independent vendor who manages and hosts may have been compromised,” a notification posted on the website said.

A CVS spokesperson confirmed to that the vendor partner is PNI Digital Media.

PNI Digital Media is reportedly the same company that operates the photo website for Walmart Canada, which announced a potential payment card breach earlier this month that resulted in the company shutting down
