Fourteen men arrested for operating child porn ring on Tor network

On Tuesday, authorities announced the arrest of 14 men who are being charged in the U.S. with operating a child porn ring on the underground Tor network, according to an AP report.

The investigation was called “Operation Round Table,” according to the report, which explains how Jonathan Johnson, a 27-year-old Louisiana man alleged to be the ringleader, would pretend to be female and encourage victims to produce sexual content.

Of the 250 victims located throughout the U.S., Australia, Belgium, Britain, Canada and New Zealand, most were boys aged 13 to 15, according to the report, which adds that two victims were three-years-old or younger.

The website operated from June 2012 to June 2013, had more than 27,000 members and more than 2,000 webcam-captured videos, according to the report.
