TechCrunch reports that startup firm is being acquired by Elastic under undisclosed terms. Elastic expects to conclude the purchase during the second quarter of its 2022 financial year. Under the deal, the technical team will move to Elastic Security as a unit, according to Elastic Chief Product Officer Ash Kulkarni. Kulkarni said the company was drawn to for its use of the Open Policy Agent open-source project as a core element of its technology approach and for the Rego query language that is part of OPA and is used to structure authorization and security configuration policies. OPA and Rego provide an open, standards-based way to define, manage and enforce policies everywhere," Kulkarni said. Kulkarni said that once the acquisition closes and's technology is integrated into the Elastic Stack platform, users will be able to manage and visualize policy decisions and compliance policies at scale using Elastic Stack.
