Data protection provider, Proofpoint, is creating 94 jobs in Northern Ireland, more than a year after acquiring Maildistiller, a Belfast-based SaaS email security provider.
The new posts average a salary of about $50,000 and would support the 20 employees already in the company's Ireland office, according to the Belfast Telegraph.
The new hires will comprise a research and development team that will support companies in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Proofpoint's chief executive Gary Steele elaborated on the hiring plans and said the company has "had a great experience in our acquisition of Maildistiller and with the threat levels increasing and the talented staff which are available to us in Northern Ireland, it made sense to expand here.”
