New Fortanix tool seeks to bolster enterprise encryption key management

VentureBeat reports that California-based enterprise key management startup Fortanix has enhanced its Data Security Manager platform with the introduction of the new Key Insight tool, which seeks to consolidate digital encryption key management in the enterprise. Fortanix Key Insight has been touted not only to provide organizations insights on the total number of cryptographic keys and the accounts using them but also the regions where the keys are being utilized, their linked services, and such services' encrypted status. Such information could then be leveraged by organizations to more promptly act on insecure keys and launch investigations into vulnerabilities while being more compliant with data storage and security regulations, according to Fortanix. "Key Insight provides a unique combination of discovery, assessment, and remediation of encryption keys and cloud data services in one Enterprise Key Posture Management (EKPM) solution, helping enterprises prevent data breaches and failed regulatory audits," said Fortanix co-founder and CEO Anand Kashyap.
