Prisma Cloud 3.0 brings added security to Palo Alto offering

Palo Alto Networks has introduced enhanced security features in the latest major upgrade to Prisma Cloud, including agentless security coverage and infrastructure as code, ZDNet reports.

Building on Palo Alto’s promise of comprehensive security coverage over an application’s entire development life cycle, Prisma Cloud 3.0 now features Cloud Code Security, which gives developers tools such as code fixing and IaC scanning to help prevent misconfigurations.

Palo Alto’s updated offering also includes Agentless Security, which complements the agent-based protection in Prisma Cloud and can be managed from the same user interface, giving enterprises visibility over their application risks and cloud workload.
In addition, Prisma Cloud 3.0 can now deploy the Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management available to Amazon Web Services users on the Microsoft Azure environment.

Palo Alto also announced the launch of its advanced Cloud Access Security Broker, a cloud security tool that uses machine learning, optical character recognition and natural language processing to shield data from threats in real-time.
