Splunk to buy startup TruSTAR Technology

SiliconANGLE reported Splunk Inc.’s announcement of its plans to acquire TruSTAR Technology Inc., a startup company that offers a cloud-native, application programming interface-first intelligence management platform, under undisclosed terms. TruSTAR’s intelligence management platform enables accelerated threat detection, response, investigations and collaboration using internal and external data. The company currently serves more than 500 corporate clients with its platform and through its integration marketplace offers support for companies such as Splunk, LogRhythm Inc. and IBM QRadar, among others. Splunk says it plans to integrate TruSTAR’s capabilities into the Splunk Data-to-Everything platform, which it expects to enhance its cloud-based security solutions. Conversely, community and freemium feeds available on a number of Splunk’s threat intelligence integration partners will be made accessible to existing TrusTAR customers. “TruSTAR’s cloud-native solution centralizes threat data from a wide array of sources so it can be seamlessly integrated into Security Analytics and SOAR workflows to provide more autonomous, higher efficacy security operations,” said Splunk Senior Vice President Sendur Sellakumar.
