Cohesity unveils Data Security Alliance to foster improved cyber defenses

SiliconAngle reports that Cohesity has introduced its Data Security Alliance, which offers products and services from 12 partner firms to help its clients achieve an end-to-end security strategy. Cisco Systems, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, Okta, CyberArk Software, Splunk, Tenable, Securonix, and BigID will be providing their security tools and systems as part of the alliance, while PricewaterhouseCoopers International and Google's Mandiant will take on a security advisory role in the group. Such an alliance is crucial in bolstering cyber defenses as no single vendor could address increasing security complexities, according to Cohesity. "Todays nonstop and increasingly sophisticated cyber threats require an all-hands-on-deck approach. It's not the responsibility of one vendor to solve all cybersecurity challenges; it takes a village to fight the bad guys. Thats why, out of the gate, were starting with multiple best-of-breed security partners, with tens of billions in market cap, who are serving thousands of customers globally," said Cohesity CEO Sanjay Poonen. Cohesity has also unveiled DataHawk, a new data security software-as-a-service solution consolidating threat protection, cyber vaulting, and machine learning-based data classification.
