Cloud Security, Cloud Security, Zero trust

Aruba brings new security integrations to its Edge Services Platform

Aruba has enhanced the security offerings under its Aruba Edge Services Platform with its integration of ClearPass Policy Manager and Aruba Threat Defense into Aruba EdgeConnect and its introduction of the new Aruba Orchestrator management console, according to ZDNet. Bringing in ClearPass Policy Manager enables dynamic zero-trust segmentation on IoT devices, or segmenting traffic according to each device’s identity, user, role and security posture, to ensure that threat actors cannot exploit vulnerable devices such as cameras and medical devices as entry points into organizations’ systems. Aruba Threat Defense, meanwhile, enables unified threat management on EdgeConnect to ensure that physical and virtual appliances are provided intrusion detection and prevention capabilities, while also allowing sharing of threat information with Aruba Central. Aruba Orchestrator, formerly Silver Peak Unity Orchestrator, allows customers to make a branch connection with popular third-party cloud security providers and their secure access service edge offerings based on geolocation information, and to configure these connections within 15 minutes.
