BlackBerry enters cyber threat intelligence market

Mounting cybersecurity threats have prompted BlackBerry Limited to unveil its proprietary cyber threat intelligence service aimed at bolstering cyberattack detection and response for enterprises, VentureBeat reports. BlackBerry's new threat intelligence platform would let organizations gain more detailed insights on various cybersecurity threats that would enable more informed incident detection and response decisions. "Being cyber resilient means making the right decisions at the right time. Cyberattacks are becoming more sophisticated and threat actors move quickly. BlackBerrys cyberthreat intelligence delivers the details needed to improve detection and response, so organizations can stay on top of cyber threat activity and anticipate any next moves," said BlackBerry Vice President of Threat Research Ismael Valenzuela. BlackBerry's entry into the threat intelligence market comes amid the ongoing growth of the industry, with the market expected by researchers to grow from $11.6 billion to $15.8 billion between 2021 and 2026. Recorded Future and IntSights are among the other entrants in the threat intelligence market.
