The U.S. Army will launch its first ever bug bounty challenge, partnering with HackerOne, the company said Friday evening.

The upcoming hack of the largest branch of the country's military follows the successful Hack the Pentagon bug bounty pilot, which spurred the Defense Department to expand the initiatives to other departments.

Secretary of the Army Eric Fanning, flanked by HackerOne CTO and co-founder Alex Rice and HackerOne Partner Katie Moussouris, founder of Luta Security, announced the challenge in Austin.
