  • Protiviti has partnered with Oracle to deliver an integrated compliance solution that combines the risk consulting firm's knowledge of regulations with Oracle's enterprise management offerings. The effort is part of the application and database maker's Global Compliance Initiative, which offers executives the ability to monitor and control information.

  • Lockheed Martin has selected Exostar to provide the aerospace and defense technology maker with enterprise digital identity management. Lockheed will use the solution to validate and manage the credentials of more than 100,000 employees. The product will allow the company to meet compliance requirements and to establish security with partners.

  • Fortent, provider of a risk and compliance solutions suite for financial organizations, has launched. The New York-based company offers a combined offering comprised of an anti-money laundering and due diligence solution to ensure compliance. Global private equity firm Warbug
    Pincus has provided venture
    capital funding.

  • Configuresoft, a systems management provider, has promoted Mark Ruport to CEO. The former president and chief operating officer, Ruport joined the company last August and now will focus on business development. Top priorities include adding new products, expanding distribution channels and creating strategic alliances with other companies.

    • TriCipher has appointed John De Santis to CEO, president and chairman of the board. Prior to joining the risk-based future proof authentication provider, De Santis served as president and CEO of endpoint security firm Sygate Technologies. He will work closely with company founder Ravi Ganesan to increase innovation through strategic partnerships and to leverage TriCipher's intellectual property, which includes 10 patents.

    • Howard Schmidt has been elected president of the International Board of Directors of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA). The former White House cybersecurity adviser now serves as president and CEO of R&H Consulting and chief security strategist for US-CERT.

    L.J. Johnson, Ira Winkler, Owen O'Connor, Gordon Shevlin and Scott Williams were also elected to the Board.

    • West Coast Labs has appointed Peter Stephenson to head its new Auburn Hills, Mich.-based facility for security product testing, validation and certification.

    West Coast also has announced that Microsoft has received Checkmark certification for the virus and trojan detection capabilities of the software giant's Windows Live OneCare offering.
