The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is known as one of the most prescriptive compliance mandates in the security marketplace. Yet, it still proves confounding to many executive leaders. Questions still abound around the proper solutions to satisfy the requirements, the best strategies to focus on or the proper measures for newer IT technologies now being adopted by many organizations, such as cloud, virtualization and mobile devices.
In this webcast, we hear from a leading expert about some of the tactical and strategic steps one can consider to get PCI compliant and also keep critical data safe from cyberattacks.
Ward Spangenberg (left), director of security operations at Zynga, a provider of social media games, will touch on things he has learned in getting compliant with PCI, providing some anecdotes and advice.
Also, he will discuss being compliant while also making sure the infrastructure is secure because, as most know, PCI compliance does not necessarily guaranteee an impenetrable network.
Spangenberg's role at Zynga focuses on ensuring that the company's security response practice is best-in-breed for the industry. He is currently writing Entering the Cloud: How to Switch your Enterprise to Cloud Computing, to be published in 2011.
Also set to speak is Fabian Oliva (right), who works on the development of IBM's PCI solutions strategy as a member of Big Blue's worldwide marketing team. He has more than 12 years of experience creating, delivering and managing security products and services. Before leading IBM's PCI Compliance Services business, Fabian was a regional PCI team leader, delivering and managing complex PCI engagements for some of the largest global enterprises.
