Name: Julien Bellanger
Why nominated: The desire to innovate quickly comes with a cost in the form of code vulnerabilities - to counter this Prevoty co-founder and CEO Julien Bellanger and fellow co-founder Kunal Anand nurtured and developed an autonomous runtime application self-protection (RASP) solution that enables applications to monitor themselves and neutralize attacks in real time, at runtime
Profile: Enterprises have been undergoing a massive digital transformation as they build an array of apps adapted to their business, customers and ecosystem. Over the past decade, as applications have become a leading attack vector for major breach incidents, Prevoty Co-founder and CEO Julien Bellanger has made it his mission to protect legacy, current and future apps so the organizations building them can focus on their core task.
When building Prevoty, Bellanger recruited a team of innovators and security veterans to develop advanced and mature RASP solutions.
Believing that applications are at the core of economies and lives, Bellanger notes the complexity of interconnecting multiple data sources, third-party applications and web services, lets data travel everywhere seamlessly for the user's benefit facilitating communication, consumption, sharing and contracting in real-time, without borders.
The founder of Personagraph, an Intertrust company focused on mobile user privacy, he built and led Thomson/Technicolor's digital advertising business unit in Latin America. Bellanger launched his first start-up venture while still in college – the first French social network built exclusively for students.
What colleagues say: “As an early adopter of RASP a few years ago, I partnered with Prevoty because they were clearly differentiated in the space. Prevoty's technology is light years ahead of any other RASP provider I looked at. Their Autonomous Application Protection technology is the most effective and scalable RASP solution available, and they're innovating new capabilities that are disrupting the application protection space.”
