Centrify CEO Tom Kemp to step down, IDaaS unit spun off

Centrify has spun off its Identity-as-a-Service business creating the standalone company Idaptive.

The creation of Idaptive will help spur several additional changes to take place at both its parent organization and the new company itself. Tim Steinkopf, currently Centrify’s CFO, will take over as CEO of that company effective January 1, 2019, replacing company co-founder and CEO Tom Kemp.

Kemp will remain active with Centrify in a strategic advisory role with the company he helped start 14-years ago.

Idaptive will be led by Danny Kibel, who led development of Centrify’s IDaaS solutions as VP of engineering and operations, prior to it being spun off.
