BT to protect NATO network

The North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) is to use a BT centrally managed service to secure its networks.

NATO will deploy the BT solution, Computer Incident Response Capability (CIRC),  to counter attacks on its network infrastructure and speed up its response time.

"An organisation such as ours takes security issues very seriously," said Suleyman Anil, head of NCIRC Coordination Centre at NATO office of security. "This CIRC will enhance our capacity to identify potential electronic attacks and defend the interests of the NATO Alliance."

The service will include design, configuration, and on-site support.
