Global Resilience Federation Aims to Coordinate Threat Intel Across Industries

By Marcos Colon

A new intelligence provider dubbed the Global Resilience Federation (GRF), has been established by the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC).

The standalone not-for-profit information sharing hub will produce and distribute cyber threat data “among not-for-profit ISACs, ISAOs, CERTs” and other notable information sharing communities around the world, according to a release.

As cyber criminals continue to target multiple industries simultaneously, the GRF hopes to provide a cross-pollination of intelligence sources across various industries, serving as a central source for cyber and physical threat information.

“It makes sense that FS-ISAC no longer coordinate intelligence for all our partner organizations, but instead pass the torch to GRF and then join the community as one member among many,” said Bill Nelson, president and CEO of FS-ISAC and chairman of the board for GRF.
