Memory stick stolen from U of Cincy

A flash drive was stolen from an employee at the University of Cincinnati.

How many victims? 7,000 students and graduates.

What kind of personal information? Social Security numbers.

What was the response? The university sent letters to students and notified the three major credit-reporting agencies.

Details: The device was stolen off the desk of the employee. None of the data has been misused.
