The vulnerability affects Windows versions NT 4.0, NT Server 4.0 Terminal Server Edition, 2000, XP, and Server 2003.

The flaw affects the way Windows implements ASN.1 (Abstract Syntax Notation 1), a standard used to normalize and understand data across various platforms.
