Report: Less than 25% of Cybersecurity Job Applicants are Qualified

passwordsA new study by ISACA, “State of Cyber Security 2017,” which surveys its members around the world, indicates that more than 20 percent of organizations receive less than five applicants per open IT security position.

As if that news isn’t sobering enough, less than 25 percent of the candidates applying for those cybersecurity roles are not qualified for the positions. What are organizations looking for?

According to the study, hands-on experience is the most important applicant attribute when designating a qualified applicant.
