FireEye Inc. acquired Invotas International Corp., a cybersecurity company that focuses on security automation and orchestration.
Alexandria, Virginia-based Invotas, previously the cyber-security business unit of CSG Systems International Inc., was spun out from the publicly listed software and business services provider in September 2015.
FireEye has made several add-ons over the past two years. Last month, the public cybersecurity provider purchased iSight Partners Inc. for $200 million, in a move to improve incident response time. Dallas-based iSight uses intelligence officers to prevent attacks, after acquiring nPulse Technologies and Mandiant Corp. in 2014.
In November, FireEye Chairman and CEO David DeWalt disappointed investors when he said earnings declined as a result of the cyber agreement signed by the U.S. and China, a claim that the company's competitors disputed. The company went public in September 2013.
