For the third week in a row Google has rolled out an updated version of Chrome to patch a critical security issue.
Chrome 81.0.4044.113 for Windows, Mac and Linux was pushed to the Stable Channel and included a patch for the critical-rated CVE-2020-6457. The update will then be released to the general public in the near future.
This is a use after free in speech recognizer vulnerability that could lead to remote code execution by an unauthorized individual. No further details on the problem were issued by Google.
Meanwhile Google has pushed out Chrome 81.0.4044.92, which includes patches for all 32 vulnerabilities. Three of the high-rated ones were singled out by Google. These are in addition to the eight problems fixed with an earlier release.
