Relentless Resilience Through Renovated Risk Management

By Marcos Colon

Business strategies tend to change over time, but execution can be pretty consistent. Many things need to evolve with the business, and the approach to risk management is certainly one of them.

The organization’s risk management program is like a living organism that needs to be constantly monitored, according to Summer Craze Fowler, chief security officer for Argo AI, a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based autonomous vehicle company.

“We often think of risk management at times as something you execute once, but it’s really a living program,” she told InfoSec Insiderduring a video interview shot at the InfoSec World Conference & Expo in Orlando, Florida. “I wouldn’t say there’s a standard format or timeline in terms of how often you need to update it, you need to constantly monitor it to see if you’re doing the right things as the business evolves.”

One thing’s for sure, developing a successful risk management program isn’t easy, she added.

InfoSec Insider caught up with Fowler who shared her thoughts on the topic, as well as some proven tips.
