Secure Computing buys Securify

Securify's products monitor network traffic and alert organizations to out-of-policy behavior in real time, and can initiate automated blocking in firewalls. $0$0“Old-school firewalls inspect packets and associate ports with protocols and applications, but this is inadequate for the Web 2.0 world," Chris Christiansen, program vice president, security products and services at analyst firm IDC, said in a statement. "With this acquisition, Secure Computing has the necessary capabilities for next-generation firewall technology that includes application inspection and user-aware access.”$0$0The deal is expected to close later this year.$0
