Black Hat is not just an event where industry insiders gather and learn about the cyberthreats facing the world, it is also becoming a premiere place to recruit new talent, according to Ben Johnson, co-founder and chief security strategist for Carbon Black.
The lack of cybersecurity workers is not news. Recent reports place the shortfall in the United States alone at 209,000 for 2015, so Black Hat has turned into a prime place to go find new workers.
“There is a talent deficit, there are just not enough people, but Black Hat has become a big place to recruit,” Johnson told SCMagazine.com at Black Hat.
