Joey Johnson is a globally established leader in the healthcare & cybersecurity communities, with over twenty years of experience in the field. He has been serving as the Chief Information Security Officer at Premise Health for twelve years delivering healthcare to the Fortune-level and similar global enterprise organizations across the defense, finance, healthcare, pharmaceutical, technology, energy, transportation, automotive, manufacturing, retail, and other industry sectors. In that time, he has grown the private equity Premise Health from a ~$40M annual revenue organization 12x in scale, to $B+ entity, guiding the organization through multiple recapitalizations, mergers, and strategic acquisitions. Also culturally leading the organization to one recognized with Tennessee Top Place to Work top honors six years in a row. Prior to his tenure with Premise Health, he served as the Chief Security Officer for the U.S. Department of Commerce- Office of Computer Services.
He has received numerous CISO leadership recognition awards at the global, national, state, regional levels. He currently serves as an advisor for CISO Executive Network, the Cybersecurity Collaborative Corporate Leadership Council, CyberTheory advisory board, the UCLA Global Cyber Institute, the Journal of Law & Cyberwarfare, amongst others.
Additionally, Johnson is an active investor in emergent cybersecurity technology and serves as a technical advisor to multiple renowned top-tier technology investments firms globally. In this capacity he also serves on the Advisory Board or Board of Directors for various portfolio companies of these venture firms.
