SpectraGuard automatically identifies and prevents security risks and attacks by blocking all unauthorized access to rogue traffic without disruption to authorized wireless traffic.
This product is compatible with the Wi-Fi access points, firewalls and VPNs of most third-party vendors. According to AirTight, a patented technology prevents all major categories of threat from compromising your company’s network. The sensor prevents |successful attacks against the infrastructure. SpectraGuard integrates with other enterprise management and reporting platforms, such as ArcSight ESM, Cisco WLSE, Check Point Eventia Suite, as well as syslogs. This product also offers the ability to generate compliance reports for requirements by generating security violation summaries for each section of the various regulations.
We found the product somewhat difficult to configure and this was partly due to a cluttered user interface. The system had difficulty recognizing its own sensors, a problem that we experienced with other (but not all) products in this Group Test. Once in place, SpectraGuard recognized our rogue access point and reported it to us.
AirTight provides well laid-out documentation for administration and deployment of the SpectraGuard product. Documentation starts with a hyperlinked table of contents for quick reference to content. A useful bit of documentation is the navigation bar explanation sheet. This is an often overlooked, but a very good reference, to understanding the product and the operation of the GUI.
Other documentation standouts are listings of global functions, administrator security scorecards, user events, and troubleshooting assistance for administrators.
