Passlogix has developed modules that snap into the Passlogix system enabling users to craft the access management solution set they need. These modules include such capabilities as password management, credential provisioning, addition of strong authentication to applications without altering the applications themselves, and self-serve password resets. These modules take over much of the administrator-intensive tasks that slow down and complicate access management. We have reviewed most of the v-GO suite and the one thing that is obvious in each case is that the individual products are clearly part of an access management ecosystem.
Passlogix started out in the single sign-on (SSO) business and SSO was a bit of an oxymoron at the time. Many approaches had been considered and Passlogix addressed the problem at the enterprise level in 1996. So, while these products haven't been around quite 20 years, they certainly have dominated the access management market for a big chunk of that time.
Testing a big system usually poses interesting challenges in the SC Lab. Setting up and testing the v-GO products, however, has never posed that level of difficulty for us. Users in real-world deployments we have talked to recount the same sort of experience.
