Singapore's National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) is distributing OneKey two-factor authentication devices to its resident members, effectively improving secure access to numerous online services and making it so members no longer have to worry about remembering passwords.
NTUC made the announcement on Wednesday, explaining that increasingly complex password requirements resulted in members avoiding use of online services.
Roughly 600,000 resident members are eligible to receive the device, according to reports.
Upon activation, resident members can more easily and safely access NTUC U Portal services, including checking of LinkPoints, applying for training grants, booking of holiday facilities, registering for events and updating personal information, as well as access other related online services.
NTUC is encouraging people to use OneKey by offering 300 LinkPoints to the first 10,000 people that log in with the device.
