Apple's latest mobile operating system, iOS 7.1, was released on Monday, bringing updates for 41 bugs plaguing users.
An Apple support page revealed that 19 bugs in Webkit alone, the open-source browser engine used to render web pages, were rectified for those updating to the new platform.
The Webkit flaws consisted of memory corruption issues that could lead to unexpected application termination or arbitrary code execution if a user visited a malicious website, Apple warned.
Among the 41 vulnerabilities addressed in total, were bugs that entailed interesting attacks leveraging malicious apps.
One flaw in the iTunes Store, for instance, could allow a man-in-the-middle attacker to spoof network communications and trick users into installing malicious apps via Enterprise App Download.
