AWS taps Lacework to detect cloud anomalies

Amazon Web Services has expanded its partnership with cloud security provider Lacework to add composite warnings to AWSAmazon GuardDuty service, which would enable the creation of enriched alerts for cloud-based anomalies, SiliconANGLE reports. Bolstering Amazon GuardDuty with Laceworks composite alerts would allow security teams to obtain richer investigative context from their findings and enable them to prioritize detected anomalies and speed up investigation times. The integration also allows users to send their alerts to Amazon Security Lake to gain wider access to security events. Through this extension of our relationship with AWS, were able to provide our shared customers with a comprehensive view of their cloud security attack surface and help them identify and respond to threats more quickly and effectively, said Brian Lanigan, Laceworks vice president of worldwide channels and alliances. Lacework also announced the completion of a collaborative project on an AWS-built-in, co-build solution that enables automated installation, configuration, and integration with AWS Cloud Foundational Services in domains including identity, security, and operations. The solution was designed to establish observability in cloud environments as well as reduce risk and lessen operational costs.
