Private equity company Thoma Bravo has agreed to pay $2.3 billion to acquire ForgeRock, provider of an identity management solution for enterprise technologies, according to SiliconANGLE. ForgeRocks software, which the company also offers in a managed cloud-based version, streamlines identity management processes such as multifactor authentication and passwordless login for organizations and is currently in use among government agencies, major companies and over 1, 300 users. The solution also allows simplification of other tasks such as generating password reset web portals, processing customer login requests and managing workers access to internal applications. In addition, ForgeRock provides automation for processes such as provisioning new employees access to applications and aids administrators in detecting and deleting unused employee accounts. ForgeRock's solution also assists organizations in their efforts to manage workers connected devices, which potentially carry cybersecurity risks due to their connection to the enterprises corporate network. Through ForgeRock, users are able to automate a number of cybersecurity tasks and establish individualized network access rights for each device.
