Salesforce adds AI Cloud features addressing trust gap

Salesforce announced that its AI Cloud generative AI offering is receiving new capabilities designed to address common issues with the emerging technology, such as security and data privacy, CRN reports. When we talk about privacy, when we talk about hallucinations, when we talk about data control, when we talk about bias, when we talk about toxicity these are actual technical explanations of things that are happening inside these models, said Salesforce co-founder and CEO Marc Benioff. Salesforce says its product can host Large Language Models from vendors within its own infrastructure, which include Amazon Web Services, Anthropic, and Cohere and can be integrated with its own LLMs including CodeGen, CodeTF, and CodeT5+ for functions such as code generation and business process automation. Among the features taking effect this month is Einstein GPT Trust Layer, which aims to solve the issue of the LLM's retaining sensitive customer data.Users can retain their customer data within their trust boundaries by placing Einstein GPT Trust Layer between their own domain-specific models and AI Cloud. Meanwhile, Service GPT will allow automation of mundane service worker tasks by combining Data Cloud data and AI trust capabilities in real-time.
