Startup Lumos exits stealth mode

Lumos App Inc., the developer of a platform for IT teams managing employee's access rights to various applications, announced it is emerging from stealth mode after raising initial funding exceeding $30 million, according to SiliconANGLE. The company's solution seeks to address IT teams' issues with implementing cybersecurity rules for cloud application access within large companies, which is often a time-consuming activity. It provides a self-service interface through which company employees may submit requests to access a particular cloud application, upon which Lumos directs the request to the relevant IT team member for their approval. "By enhancing role-based access control with a self-service portal (with roles, rules and workflows), IT, identity and access management and security teams can automate the on and offboarding process," said Lumos co-founder and CEO Andrej Safundzic.Lumos also has a tool that allows IT teams to grant certain employees temporary, time-limited permission to access applications, and gives them an overview of users and their accessible applications through a centralized dashboard.
