Suse rolls out container management, security platforms

VentureBeat reports that cloud-native security provider Suse has launched the open-source container management platform Rancher and container security solution NeuVector. NeuVector 5.0, a Kubernetes-specific end-to-end security tool, allows customers to install security rapidly in cloud-native environments while requiring minimal time and technical knowledge from its users as they develop and manage a secure infrastructure. NeuVector also allows users to add security checks to their devops pipeline, manage compliance checks and vulnerability tests, implement zero-trust security controls, implement barriers against malicious behavior in real-time and insert admission control rules for production or staging deployment.Meanwhile, the Suse Rancher 2.6.5 release allows customers to deploy and manage NeuVector directly from the Suse Rancher console, granting a zero-trust stack to the globally distributed Kubernetes settings and simplifying security administration."As container security issues grow, our customers can rely on Suse to provide a complete solution that improves security throughout the Kubernetes lifecycle," said Greg Muscarella, Suse's general manager of enterprise container management.
