BreachForums domain sequestered by feds

Hacking site BreachForums had its clear web domain seized by the FBI, the Office of the Inspector General, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the Department of Justice three months following the arrest and indictment of BreachForums owner Conor Fitzpatrick, also known as Pompompurin, BleepingComputer reports. Also detailed in the domain seizure message posted on the breached[.]vc domain was the participation of the U.S. Secret Service, Homeland Security Investigations, U.S. Postal Inspection Service, and the New York Police Department, as well as law enforcement agencies in Australia, Scotland, the U.K., and the Netherlands. Following its takedown in March, BreachForums was attempted to be revived by its lone admin Baphomet using the original domains but the site was also shut down in the belief that the hacking site's servers have already been accessed by federal agents. Rumors of the hacking site's reemergence through a collaboration between Baphomet and Shiny Hunters later prompted a message on the original site warning that the new forum should not be trusted. The new site also had its database exposed in a data breach.
