Applications networking firm F5 announced a $68 million deal to acquire Threat Stack, a cloud security and compliance firm based in Boston, according to TechCrunch. The acquisition is expected to be completed in the first quarter of F5’s fiscal year 2022, the company said.
F5 says the acquisition will allow it to build on its cloud-based cybersecurity offerings amid global threat actors’ increasing focus on interconnected applications.
The Threat Stack Cloud Security Platform, Threat Stack’s real-time threat detection solution, takes a proactive approach to cloud security by identifying an enterprise’s every vulnerability and notifying the company of vulnerabilities that require the most urgent attention. It may be run across cloud, multi-cloud, hybrid cloud and containerized environments, and features integration with Slack to provide DevOps with real-time alerts regarding security issues.
